Was that me laughing hysterically, or was that the sound of Woody, the pileated Woodpecker, after being chased out of crow territory and across the cove, swooping past my head, and perching on the bark of one of my swamp oaks?Probably taunting me because he or his mate, Woodina, have put a nice sized hole in one of my live oaks.
